SeaChange is a new program of support, providing independent filmmakers with the tools necessary to practice their craft. Films accepted into the program will receive over 10 000$ worth of production services. This includes equipment from RedGround Camera Rental, online mastering from Rockridge Pictures and production services from GreenGround Productions.
This is a unique opportunity for independent filmmakers to shoot with the RED One – the camera which represents the newest frontier of digital filmmaking. The program is open to short films of all genres.
Eligibility
Applicants must read and complete the attached application form. You must include with the completed form: a copy of the screenplay, a short synopsis, a treatment and CVs for all key membres of your production.
Applications can be submitted by the writer, director, or producer of a given film.
Projects must be shot in province.
Applications must be received by mail or email on or before the given due dates.
Deadlines
The application deadlines for 2009 are August 17th and December 20th.
Successful candidates receive:
1) A chance to shoot with the Red One:
Access to a complete RED One camera package from RedGround Camera Rental for a maximum of one week, as well as any pre and post production consultation and training necessary to get your production team comfortable with the Red System.
2) Production Services from GreenGround Productions
If required, GreenGround Productions offers its experience to help you manage your project, through all stages of production. We will work with the director and/or the producer to manage the development of the script, the hiring of production team, the management of the shoot, as well as the post-production work flow.
Upon accepting admission into the SeaChange program, GreenGround Productions assumes the responsibility of a minority partner in the production of the film. As minority co-producer, GreenGround Prouctions cedes any and all ownership of the final project, however, retains the right to use the film in its entirety for any and all purposes (marketing etc.). In addition, GreenGround Productions & Rockridge Pictures will be entitled to recoup their investments in the project incurred through the SeaChange program through any gross revenue generated by the project. Furthermore, as minority co-producer GreenGround Productions will receive an additional 10% of net profit generated from the project.
3) Post-Production Services
In addition, program participants will receive an online edit from Rockridge Pictures to be able to finish their film in full res 4k, 2k, or HD.
