Ray Lavers's passion for the moving image brought him to Montreal, Quebec over a thousand kilometers away from his hometown in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. He studied filmmaking at the Mel Hoppenheim school of cinema where he met a group of people who later grew to become his fellow colleagues. He has received awards working along side them for his cinematography and recognition as a director.
